The first story every writer must tell is the story about themselves. Once you begin to write your story, you realize that you are part of a greater picture and a larger narrative: your family. If you live in the Pacific Northwest and understand what I'm talking about, you won't want to miss this opportunity to spend a day with like-minded writers in downtown Portland discovering all the places where you can look to find the beginning of your own narrative. We will accept 7 participants who will leave with a signed copy of Camille's historical narrative, The Brass Bell, a list of resource references, and feedback on your own project, be it the kernel of an idea or a finished manuscript. This class is for writers of historical fiction and non-fiction as well as memoirists. We're hoping to have a mix in the group!
